Welcome to BillBetter.AI ("we," "us," the "Service"), available at billbetter.ai. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
BillBetter.AI is a platform for creating, sending, receiving, organizing, and paying bills and invoices. Bills on the platform are created by users. BillBetter.AI is not a party to any bill, invoice, or underlying transaction between users — we provide the tools; the obligations belong to the people using them.
You must provide accurate information and keep your password secure. You're responsible for everything done through your account. If you invite teammates to a company, they act as full partners on that company's bills — including accepting, rejecting, filing, sending, and paying — and you're responsible for the access you grant. Only invite people you trust, and remove them when that changes.
Users are solely responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of the bills they create, send, record, or import. Receiving a bill through BillBetter.AI doesn't by itself create an obligation to pay it; accepting, rejecting, and settling bills are decisions between the parties. We don't verify the accuracy of any bill, and disputes about a bill's substance are between its parties.
Online payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Card and bank-account details are collected and stored by Stripe, never by BillBetter.AI. Payouts go to the payee's (or their company's) connected Stripe account. The recipient of a payment is the merchant of record for that payment and is solely responsible for refunds, chargebacks, disputes, and any applicable taxes. BillBetter.AI does not hold user funds. We may charge a platform fee on payments, disclosed at the time it applies. Bank (ACH) payments can take several business days to settle and can fail after they appear to start.
A company owner may save a payment method (card or bank account) with Stripe for paying that company's bills. Payments made with a saved method from the owner's signed-in account are authorized by the owner. Keep your account credentials secure — a saved payment method is only as safe as the account that controls it.
If you link an email mailbox, you authorize BillBetter.AI to read messages from it for the purpose of detecting and recording bills, receipts, and statements — including automated processing of message text and attachments by an AI service (Anthropic's Claude API) to extract details like amounts and due dates. AI extraction can make mistakes; always verify amounts before acting on them. You can unlink your mailbox at any time, which stops all access.
Don't use BillBetter.AI to send fraudulent, deceptive, or harassing invoices; to invoice people who have no plausible relationship to you; to violate any law; or to interfere with the Service. We may suspend or terminate accounts that do.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We work hard to keep it reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted operation, and we're not liable for missed due dates, failed or delayed payments, inaccurate AI extraction, or actions taken by teammates you authorized.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BillBetter.AI's total liability for any claim arising out of the Service is limited to the greater of $100 or the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for the value of bills or payments between users.
You can stop using the Service at any time and request account deletion via support. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Records of bills you exchanged with other users may persist for those other parties.
We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it.
By providing a mobile phone number on BillBetter.AI — your own, or a business counterparty's entered with their agreement — the number's owner agrees to receive transactional account and billing text messages from BillBetter.AI (Better AI LLC): a bill or invoice's secure link, a payment notice, a sign-in code, or a team invitation. We do not send marketing or promotional texts. Message frequency varies (invitation messages are limited to one per recipient per day; most recipients receive only one or two messages in total). Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel and no further texts will be sent to your number; reply HELP for help. For additional assistance, contact support@billbetter.ai. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of using the Service — every feature works entirely by email. Participation is subject to our Privacy Policy and these Terms of Service; the full texting disclosure lives at billbetter.ai/sms-policy.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
